- Conduct detailed market research using tools like Nielsen data to identify trends, demand patterns, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, logistics, and product management to coordinate product development, pricing strategies, and inventory planning.
- Utilize supply chain analytics and SQL-based data mining techniques to analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and demand forecasts for informed decision‑making.
- Lead negotiations on contracts with vendors and suppliers to establish favorable terms while maintaining strong relationships.
- Oversee logistics operations related to inventory control, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring efficient supply chain flow.
- Implement process improvements using project management methodologies to streamline procurement workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance, including profit & loss analysis, to ensure category profitability targets are met or exceeded.
- Use data visualization tools to present insights on sales analysis, pricing strategies, and market trends for executive review.
- Proven experience in category management or procurement within a fast‑paced retail or e‑commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including logistics, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Expertise in using Nielsen or similar market research tools for data collection and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability in supplier management, contract negotiation, and vendor sourcing strategies.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, SQL databases, and data visualization software for analytics purposes.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in profit & loss analysis, pricing models, and financial forecasting.
- Skilled in project management with a track record of leading process improvements across complex supply chains.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and strategic planning discussions.
- Ability to analyze large datasets for sales insights using data mining techniques; familiarity with supply chain analytics is a plus.
