Required QualificationsThe applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of a 2.0.

Job SummaryThe Student Aide will support the Instructional Technology department by providing assistance to faculty, creating student documentation in PowerPoint, and designing flyers using Canva. The role involves frequent collaboration and light technical work within educational platforms.
SpecificJob Duties
- Assist the Instructional Technologist with the creation and updating of student-facing Blackboard handouts
- Help test and provide feedback on student-facing technologies (e.g., Blackboard, student portal)
- Document faculty requests for interactive Blackboard content
- Support the creation and file management of Blackboard interaction objects
- Design flyers and materials using Canva
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Eye‑hand coordination for computer‑based tasks
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, kneel, or crouch as needed
- Vision requirements include close vision for computer work
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Frequent use of computers, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and cloud‑based tools
- Regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff
- Office or computer lab setting
