The Merchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness, with focus on deli products. The role involves maintaining marketing displays, executing planograms, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Safely operate a deli slicer.
• Set up deli cases and rotate products.
• Understand and execute schematics/planograms.
• Maintain marketing displays using the Dietz & Watson POS system.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage time effectively and productively.
• Complete all required reports, including store surveys.
• Provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory.
• Make regular store visits, document concerns, and address issues promptly.
• Build and maintain customer relationships with deli managers, employees, and customers.
• Create and market Dietz & Watson programs.
• Train new store deli hires and refresh training as needed.
• Communicate necessary information to the Merchandiser Manager.
• Use monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution.
• Explore opportunities for sales growth with the Merchandiser Manager.
• Maintain full displays and a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory.

• Flexibility and ability to travel (including flying) up to 30% of the time.
• English reading and writing proficiency.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills.
• Independent decision‑making ability.
• Availability to work weekends occasionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred; deli experience is a plus.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Must pass the company‑issued Serv Safe Manager exam.

• Full‑time hourly position: $18.00–$20.00 based on experience.
• Weekly direct‑deposit payroll.
• Opportunity to earn overtime (5+ hours per week).
