Senior Accountant

Description

Works with the Controller to handle general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. The person will report directly to the Controller and work hand‑in‑hand with other members of the Accounting Team, collaborating amicably with a variety of personalities while maintaining professionalism and applying broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures.

• Perform various reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliation, and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain and set up vendors.
• Process internal company invoicing.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Participate in various month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Assist with the review of weekly payroll.
• Process daily receipts.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in contracting business or accounting.
• 3+ years of senior‑level accounting experience.
• Full knowledge of GAAP.

• Detail oriented.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.

• Minimum of an associate degree in business, accounting, or equivalent.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Mid-Senior level.
