Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a Contract to permanent position within the communications industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to manage accounts with precision while maintaining excellent relationships with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze vendor and customer contracts to identify billable events accurately.

- Audit and process supplier invoices while ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

- Cross-reference information across multiple systems to evaluate and determine billable events.

- Investigate and resolve recurring and unique payment discrepancies with discretion and independent judgment.

- Research customer accounts to address and resolve accounts receivable issues effectively.

- Manage billing disputes by documenting issues and communicating resolutions clearly.

- Prepare and issue high volumes of invoices in a timely manner.

- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance in accounts receivable processes.

- Record and reconcile payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.

- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve discrepancies to maintain smooth financial operations. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections, ideally 3-5 years.

- Strong decision-making skills with the confidence to communicate outcomes effectively.

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities focused on customer service and process improvement.

- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and business acumen.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
