Client Overview:
Vernovis is partnering with a publicly traded company with a rich Cincinnati heritage. The company is looking for a staff accountant with a good GAAP foundation. This is a role that is expected to eventually grow into a senior role in the future.

* What You'll Do:**

• Ensure accurate recording of transactions and adherence to GAAP.
• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks, including journal entries and bank transaction processing.
• Maintain prepaid expense schedules and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare cash account reconciliations and assist with AP, AR, sales, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets: track projects, record new assets, calculate depreciation, and reconcile subsidiary accounts.

* What Experience You'll Have:**

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, JEs, and account recs

• Accounting experience within manufacturing
