Mgr. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing

Job Description

The Manager of Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis is responsible for food cost analysis, financial accounting systems and reporting related to all areas of the Commissary, order department, and inventory control. In addition, this position will lead daily accounting duties to ensure efficient and productive operation of the commissary costing system and maintenance of theoretical food cost controls. The Manager of Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis will be responsible for periodic Management reporting and P&L analysis.

• Cost and Financial systems management of Commissary production and customer-facing processes. Report, analyze and provide recommendations for improvement. Analyze financial results including comparisons to budget/ prior periods, investigate variances and recommend corrective action.
• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions such as journal entries and GL management to ensure data integrity for Kitchen/ Food Manufacturing Operations.
• Manage Warehouse Inventory, including input of new items, receipt corrections, cycle count analysis and offsite inventory cost management and reporting.
• Systems integration and support. Interface with Operations system to ensure data integrity.
• Financial audit lead for Kitchen, Financial and Operational KPI’s.
• Operations support for ordering, sales, pricing, invoicing, and other operational requests. In addition, support of store ordering processes & maintenance, and store pricing and billing of goods and services.
• Special projects and Customer support coverage as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Five (5) or more years of accounting experience with manufacturing experience
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing as related to GAAP
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis in MS Excel
• Prior ERP and WMS experience

• Advanced degree or certification preferred
