Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our growing team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity with a company that has experienced significant growth, doubling its workforce over the past year. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

- Manage job costing, forecasting, and cash flow for multi-phase construction projects.

- Handle accounting processes for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies.

- Maintain vendor records and oversee vendor setups.

- Process internal invoicing between company entities.

- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring smooth operations.

- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.

- Review weekly payroll data for accuracy and compliance.

- Process daily receipts and ensure proper recording in financial systems.

- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the accounting team. Requirements - Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.

- Experience with account and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with job costing techniques in the construction industry.

- Hands-on experience using Computer Ease or similar accounting software.

- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
