Accounting Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a contract assignment with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in process management and team leadership, and is ready to make a strong impact in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions

+ Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

+ Prepare and review financial statements, analysis, and management reports

+ Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with company policy and GAAP

+ Oversee audit processes and provide necessary support for both internal and external reviews

+ Implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of accounting operations

+ Mentor and guide accounting staff, supporting their professional growth and development

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct supervisory responsibility

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks

+ Proficient with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, or Quick Books, and advanced Excel skills

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
