Senior Property Accountant

trak group is partnering with a growing organization in Cincinnati, OH to place a Senior Property Accountant. This role offers full ownership of financial reporting across a diverse property portfolio, close collaboration with asset management leadership, and a total compensation package that includes ESOP participation and strong bonus potential.

• Compensation: $75,000–$100,000/year plus bonus, ESOP, and excellent benefits

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across a portfolio of properties
• Maintain property-level general ledgers including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Serve as the primary financial point of contact for the asset management team
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements with variance analysis
• Review annual budgets and forecasts in close collaboration with asset management
• Oversee CAM reconciliations and ensure accurate tenant expense allocations
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable for accuracy and timeliness
• Lead year-end GAAP audits for select legal entities
• Support property tax appeals and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements across the accounting function

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of property or real estate accounting experience
• Yardi experience strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite proficiency
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Collaborative communicator able to work effectively across all levels of the organization
