We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent role that offers an excellent opportunity to manage the financial aspects of our extensive commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of property accounting, including CAM reconciliations, and will have a strong working knowledge of Yardi software.

Responsibilities:
As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the financial success of our properties. These include: overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties, conducting CAM reconciliations and preparing accurate annual tenant reconciliation statements, utilizing Yardi software for property management accounting tasks, including data entry, report generation, and analysis, coordinating with property managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and filing requirements, assisting with budget preparation and forecasting for each property, performing regular audits to ensure data accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Property Accountant position will have a strong background in property and commercial real estate accounting. Specific qualifications include: a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate. Extensive experience with CAM reconciliations.
Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management accounting software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
