Vernovis is partnering with one of Cincinnati's fastest-growing organizations to identify a Tax Manager. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing indirect tax strategy and compliance across U.S. Sales & Use Tax and International VAT/GST. The ideal candidate will bring strong indirect tax expertise along with experience in the logistics or transportation industry

• Lead the company's indirect tax function, overseeing U.S. Sales & Use Tax and International VAT/GST compliance.
• Manage tax filings, audits, and relationships with domestic and international tax authorities.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to advise on tax implications of strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts across the business.
• Support financial reporting, tax provision activities, and month-end close processes.
• Analyze tax data and large datasets to support planning and business decisions.
• Lead and mentor members of the tax team while helping develop best practices.

• Experience with in the logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain industry is required.
• Approximately 5+ years of indirect tax experience, including U.S. Sales & Use Tax and International VAT/GST (candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Previous leadership or people management experience, whether through direct reports, project leadership, or mentoring.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• CPA or Master's degree in Taxation.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax engines (such as Vertex, Avalara, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Demonstrated success improving tax processes, automation, or operational efficiencies.
• Experience supporting a high-growth or multi-entity organization.
