Accountant

We are seeking a part-time Accountant (approximately 32 hours per week). The Accountant will work closely with the finance team to ensure day-to-day accounting operations run smoothly.

Accountant Responsibilities

• Process payroll for approximately 40 employees.
• Support daily finance and accounting operations.
• Assist with accounts payable, including processing invoices and paying bills.
• Manage incoming financial correspondence and related administrative tasks.
• Perform fund accounting and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with finance leadership on accounting activities and reporting.

Accountant Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, payroll, and accounts payable.
• Knowledge of fund accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional, and collaborative communication style.
• Experience with municipal or public-sector financial systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with government accounting software is a plus.
