Accounts Receivable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Northern Kentucky
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for cash application, billing, collections activities, and resolving customer account discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing accounts receivable processes in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Apply customer payments accurately and timely
- Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices
- Manage customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances
- Contact customers regarding past‑due invoices via phone and email
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and billing issues
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve account issues
- Maintain collection notes and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Assist with month‑end accounts receivable activities as needed
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience with cash application, billing, and collections
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem‑solving and customer service abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment
- ERP system experience
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Contract-to‑hire position with long‑term potential
