Accounting & Tax Preparation Manager; Part-Time​/Seasonal

The Koch Group is seeking a reliable, experienced part-time accounting and tax professional who values work/life balance and fits into a small, casual firm environment.

This role supports the preparation and processing of tax returns for individuals and small businesses, along with general accounting support and client coordination. You’ll work with a small team in a casual business environment. The position is part-time, in-person, with full-time hours during tax season and reduced hours the rest of the year.

• Gather and organize client financial information for tax preparation.
• Review financial records to determine required forms and filings.
• Ensure all required documents are collected and follow-up on missing information.
• Support scanning, filing, and organization of documents within file system.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership and trust).
• Review returns for accuracy and completeness prior to finalization.
• Support end-to-end tax return processing, including assembly and client delivery.
• Assist with internal database/processes including updating status steps, setting-up new clients and maintaining client profiles.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting assistance services to clients.
• Perform special tax and/or accounting projects as assigned.

• General knowledge of federal, state, and local tax concepts.
• Experience with tax preparation software and/or Quick Books preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in tax preparation and accounting/bookkeeping (CPA optional).

• Part-time, in-person role.
• Full-time hours during tax season (~10 weeks leading up to April 15th).
• Hours not anticipated to exceed 40 per week during tax season.
• Reduced, flexible hours the remainder of the year.
