Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger, job cost accounting, and cost tracking.
- Process construction loan draws, equity draws, and CIP accounting.
- Support project closings, closing entries, and development schedules.
- Handle affordable housing and tax credit accounting (LIHTC, HTC, NMTC).
- Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize Yardi or similar real estate accounting software for daily operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of Strong Experience in Real Estate Development Accounting or Real Estate Accounting
- Strong knowledge of the full accounting lifecycle for real estate development projects
- Experience with:
- Cost tracking & reconciliation
- Cash flow forecasting
- General Ledger & Job Cost Accounting
- Experience preparing and managing:
- Equity draws
- Bank reconciliations
- Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounting
- Experience with Affordable Housing or Tax Credit Accounting such as:
- Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)
- Historic Tax Credits (HTC)
- New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC)
- Experience supporting:
- Project closings
- Closing entries
- Equity Instalment schedules
- Experience with Yardi or similar Real Estate ERP systems
