Technical Accountant

Carson Lynch is partnering with a privately held manufacturing organization in the Northern Kentucky area to identify a Technical Accountant for an exciting opportunity within its growing accounting group!

This role offers the chance to work closely with senior accounting leadership while gaining exposure to complex technical accounting matters, various special projects, and more. • Support revenue recognition activities and analyze customer contracts to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
• Manage lease accounting processes, including lease schedules, calculations, and related journal entries
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audit activities while partnering with external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Prepare journal entries and accounting support related to technical accounting matters
• Research accounting issues and provide guidance on complex transactions
• Partner with finance leaders across the organization to improve processes, controls, and documentation
• Contribute to special projects, accounting research initiatives, and process improvement efforts

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA preferred, or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting concepts
• Experience in public accounting, external audit, or a manufacturing environment is highly valued
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
