Position Summary
The Retirement Operations Associate will support the daily administrative functions of retirement plan operations. This role focuses on data entry, document preparation, and assisting with basic plan processing tasks. This is an entry-level role; no prior experience in retirement plans or finance is required; you will receive structured training to build foundational knowledge of retirement plans and administrative processes, with opportunities to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.
Note: This is an in-person role based out of our Cincinnati office. We value collaboration and believe that working together on-site fosters strong teamwork, communication, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general administrative and clerical duties related to retirement plan operations
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in internal systems and spreadsheets
- Work extensively with Microsoft Excel and Word for reports, tracking, and documentation
- Assist in drafting retirement plan documents and support new business onboarding activities
- Process benefit distributions for terminated employees in accordance with plan rules
- Review information for accuracy and completeness
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files
- Support team members with special projects as assigned
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and external contacts as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required (any major considered)
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Professional and dependable work ethic
- Strong interest in administrative or operations-based work
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Must be able to work onsite, (this is NOT a remote position)
