Cincinnati, OH (Onsite Downtown)
Shift: M-F, 8am-5pm
Required Skills & Experience- 7 years of BA experience (gathering, eliciting, and documenting complex requirements)
- Experience working in the insurance industry (familiarity with regulation, compliance, and data validation)
- Agile & waterfall framework experience
- Strong written and oral communication (able to facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
A client in the Cincinnati market is looking for a Sr BA to join their PMO. The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of a new Underwriting/New Business Workbench for CLIC and other companies as determined. This position collaborates with stakeholders to identify and articulate business and stakeholder requirements, ensuring solutions maximize value delivery.
Responsibilities include interviewing stakeholders, eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating business, solution, and transition requirements, and communicating these through the software development life cycle (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative). The analyst applies strong communication, modeling, analytical, problem‑solving, facilitation, negotiation, and leadership skills to meet stakeholder expectations. Acting as a liaison between business customers and IT teams, the analyst ensures alignment and resolves gaps in understanding.
Additionally, the role provides guidance to less‑experienced analysts and performs gap analysis between current and future states to achieve strategic goals. This program involves iterative delivery of solutions aligned with Business Unit plans over several years, using a mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The successful candidate will spend approximately 65% of their time on requirements elicitation, 10% on user stories and sprints, and 25% on research and defect remediation.
