Overview

Job Summary: The Client Development Coordinator will operate in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities while partnering effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels. This role is responsible for producing high-quality, accurate materials that support business development initiatives and client growth efforts.

Working collaboratively with members of the Client Development Team, this position will assist with pitches, presentations, and proposal responses (including RFPs, RFQs, and surveys) from initiation through completion. Responsibilities include organizing and leading proposal kick-off calls, identifying response requirements, assigning responsibilities, gathering and organizing information, drafting new content or updating existing materials, performing quality control, and ensuring timely submission of all deliverables.

The role also supports the maintenance and expansion of content within the proposal response database (currently utilizing Qorus Docs). This includes partnering with marketing professionals, client development team members, and attorneys to identify, create, manage, and update content that clearly communicates the firm's client service capabilities and experience.

In addition, the Client Development Coordinator will conduct business intelligence and competitive intelligence research using online research platforms such as Pitch Book and the firm s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system (Intapp Deal Cloud). Findings will be summarized and presented to assist attorneys in identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities and targets.

The position may also provide support for ranking and directory submission processes (e.g., Chambers, IFLR 1000, WTR 1000, Benchmark Litigation, etc.), including researching client organization information and collaborating with team members to develop, draft, edit, and review submissions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to contribute both as a team member and an independent contributor, bringing forward new ideas and solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of proposals, pitch materials, presentation decks, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) based on client or prospect requirements and attorney requests.
  • Manage proposal and pitch projects (including RFPs, RFQs, and surveys) by developing timelines, coordinating internal stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and effectively utilizing internal resources.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop compelling, tailored proposal and pitch messaging.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to draft original proposal and presentation content or review and revise existing materials. May also collaborate on creating new content for marketing collateral and external website materials, including practice or industry pages and blog posts.
  • Review and edit content for grammar, tone, style, clarity, and consistency while adhering to established brand and AP style guidelines.
  • Support final proposal production as needed, often in collaboration with document services personnel.
  • Provide business and competitive intelligence research reports and analytical summaries as requested by attorneys.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a matter and experience database derived from ranking submissions and other sources for use in proposals, RFPs, and website content such as practice group descriptions and attorney biographies.
  • Maintain and enhance the proposal response database (Qorus Docs), ensuring content remains current, properly assigned, accurately tagged, and organized for ease of use.
  • Travel requirements are minimal, with occasional travel between Ohio office locations if needed.
