The Investment Operations Analyst is an integral role within the Operations Department. This position supports the Firm’s investment operations, reporting accuracy, and client service infrastructure. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, accuracy, and delivery of the Tamarac Reporting application, operational support of investment-related systems, and execution of core operational processes that impact clients and Team members.
As MCF continues to grow organically and through acquisitions, this role is essential to ensuring data integrity, reporting consistency, and scalable investment operations. The Investment Operations Analyst works closely with the Operations Manager and serves as a key execution partner during M&A integrations and ongoing technology enhancements.
MCF has office locations throughout the state of Kentucky and the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. We will also consider remote candidates and encourage interested individuals to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities Investment & Reporting Operations- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Tamarac Reporting, including:
- Data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
- Account setups and maintenance
- Support ongoing improvements to reporting processes, controls, and documentation to enhance accuracy and consistency
- Assist in monitoring data feeds and integrations between Tamarac, custodians, and other systems
- Generate, validate, and distribute recurring client and management reports, including monthly flow reports, quarterly KPIs, run-rate revenue summaries, and AUM tracking
- Support the operational execution of M&A integrations, specifically:
- Tamarac reporting migrations
- Data validation and reconciliation for acquired firms
- Assisting with onboarding and training related to reporting and investment operations
- Partner with the Operations Manager and Director of Integration to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned integration tasks
- Client billing and reconciliation processes tied to Tamarac data
- Support documentation updates and training materials
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems (Tamarac, Orion, Addepar, Black Diamond, or similar)
- Works well with repetition, with a passion for accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills—you’re comfortable working with data, formulas, and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset—you love finding solutions to complex challenges
- Comfortable with deadlines and executing
