We are Wings and Rings and Noble Chicken and we are seeking the next amazing team member to add to our team. The Purchasing and Logistics Manager will analyze the purchasing of specified on-brand services and goods for resale through supply chain functions which includes the monitoring of all processes involved from the purchase of an item to the shipment of the item.
- Provide general support to the field by communicating and interacting with franchisees.
- Effective management of the day-to-day supplier/distribution performance including fill rates, out of stocks, on-time deliveries, and directing recovery efforts at the restaurant.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of a supply chain system to ensure all locations are being serviced according to our business model and being charged the contractual negotiated rates.
- Locates vendor partners (manufacturers, distributors, service providers, etc.)and qualifies them in terms of their financial health, capabilities, internal systems, management philosophy, quality assurance, and whether they meet operational and marketing specifications.
- Calculate and submit and/or validate supplier rebates based on purchase history.
- Understands and enforces the policies and guidelines regarding the ethical conduct of purchasing activities.
- Establishes and maintains a vendor partner bid and rating system to form the basis for selecting vendor partners for future needs.
- Supports the negotiation process on major purchase contracts.
- Periodically visits major vendor partners to discuss issues/concerns and to maintain good working relationships.
- Establishes and directs an ongoing cost reduction program aimed at lowering overall purchased goods costs.
- Prepares reports regarding commodity market conditions and share internally.
- Supervises inventory management with the vendor partners and arranges for disposal of surplus goods as needed.
- Participates in troubleshooting and the internal development of specifications for new, substitute products and services as needed.
- Accurately enters, manages, and maintains contracts and pricing agreements using an integrated platform designed for inventory and contract management.
- Coordinates and represents company in communication to and coordination with franchisees as needed.
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or logistics in the restaurant industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-directed with the ability to independently manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Negotiation, Vendor Relationship and Diplomacy skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- Cost Analysis experience, preferred.
- Experience in the restaurant and Franchising field.
Pay Range is $65,000 - $72,000
