A Hiring Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing trucking and logistics company that delivers reliable, scalable transportation solutions to regional and national clients. As the company expands its customer base and long-term partnerships, it is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to drive revenue growth.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the trucking and logistics landscape, has established industry relationships, and can convert opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.

Key Responsibilities New Business Development
  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new customers within the trucking and logistics industry
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified leads
  • Conduct outbound outreach through calls, emails, meetings, and industry events
  • Prepare, negotiate, and close contracts, pricing, and service agreements
Customer Retention & Account Management
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Develop and execute retention strategies to increase repeat business and contract renewals
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for key accounts
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues in coordination with Operations
  • Partner closely with Management to ensure service feasibility and delivery quality
  • Provide market insights on pricing, competitors, and customer needs
  • Support leadership with sales forecasting and revenue growth planning
  • Track pipeline activity and performance metrics using CRM tools
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within trucking, logistics, or transportation
  • Established network and industry connections
  • Proven track record of acquiring new customers and retaining key accounts
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
  • Solid understanding of trucking operations, pricing models, and customer expectations
