As the company expands its customer base and long-term partnerships, it is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to drive revenue growth.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the trucking and logistics landscape, has established industry relationships, and can convert opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development- Identify, prospect, and onboard new customers within the trucking and logistics industry
- Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified leads
- Conduct outbound outreach through calls, emails, meetings, and industry events
- Prepare, negotiate, and close contracts, pricing, and service agreements
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
- Develop and execute retention strategies to increase repeat business and contract renewals
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for key accounts
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues in coordination with Operations
- Partner closely with Management to ensure service feasibility and delivery quality
- Provide market insights on pricing, competitors, and customer needs
- Support leadership with sales forecasting and revenue growth planning
- Track pipeline activity and performance metrics using CRM tools
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within trucking, logistics, or transportation
- Established network and industry connections
- Proven track record of acquiring new customers and retaining key accounts
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
- Solid understanding of trucking operations, pricing models, and customer expectations
