Role Summary

The Client Leader is responsible for expanding BHDP’s presence within the Workplace market by developing strategic relationships with decision‑makers, maintaining a healthy sales funnel through consistent sales behaviors, and achieving individual net revenue and profit goals. The Client Leader serves as a thought leader, bringing innovative perspectives to clients and to BHDP through industry engagement, expertise, and insight that strengthen our credibility and expand opportunities within the market.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client and project teams to secure net revenue and execute BHDP services that exceed client expectations while managing efforts within targeted project performance metrics.
  • Advocate for the professional services provided by BHDP and hold the team accountable to a high bar of quality and client service.
  • Provide perspective and strategic recommendations to clients, adding value as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Achieve business plan goals and objectives related to Workplace growth, development of expertise, and visibility on a national stage.
  • Identify and develop strategic targeted relationships with multiple new and existing clients in positions of financial authority to achieve sales stretch net revenue and profit goals in alignment with the Workplace Business Plan and budget.
  • Build a business‑leader network with key industry influencers to maintain a healthy sales funnel through commitment to weekly sales behaviors and ability to create meaningful connections.
  • Act as the client relationship lead, establishing multiple high‑level points of contact and developing an understanding of the client’s business goals and objectives.
  • Continuously learn and understand the client’s business and adjust BHDP’s approach to maintain and grow broader and deeper relationships through delivering strong value.
  • Practice continuous learning to build and share strategically relevant expertise, develop a thought‑leading voice in the Market/Business Segment to create credibility as an expert with new and existing clients.
  • Present market‑focused thought leadership at professional national organization conferences attended by existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (NAAB accredited program preferred), Interior Design (CIDA accredited program preferred), or other relevant design, construction, or engineering related program.
  • Architectural License or NCIDQ Certification preferred.
  • 12+ years in the design and/or architecture industry.
  • 5+ years of experience within the Workplace market.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, with the ability to anticipate needs, communicate proactively, and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Demonstrated initiative; sees challenges as opportunities.
  • Demonstrated capability to delegate, coach, and raise team performance.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration within a team.
  • Models professional workplace behaviors: reliable follow‑through, constructive feedback, and calm, solutions‑oriented communication with co‑workers and clients.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Sitting/standing.
  • Occasional lifting of 20 pounds or less.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
  • Ability to travel 25‑30 %.
