Responsibilities- Generate and maintain rate sheets for all branch offices
- Ensure consistent formatting, formulas, references, and macros across all spreadsheets
- Keep rate sheets current to support accurate and efficient billing
- Develop pricing strategies based on market knowledge and trends
- Evaluate trade lanes and recommend optimal carrier selections
- Communicate with vendors and agents regarding pricing, service, and operational changes
- Assist in the development, enhancement, and evaluation of databases, spreadsheets, and internal tools
- Support rate proposals for new business, including RFQs and RFPs
- Coordinate and distribute monthly rate updates to clients and origin offices
- Monitor and stay current on carrier charges, accessorials, and implementations
- Maintain knowledge of service strings and available carrier options
- Prepare internal and client-facing market updates and rate alerts
- Maintain and support the vendor and agent vetting process
- Manage and update departmental resource and reference tools
- Maintain historical pricing and volume data for trend analysis
- Run volume and performance reports to support rate analysis
- Create analytical insights and reports for internal stakeholders and external clients
- Assist with research and documentation for claims or carrier-related requests
- Cross-reference multiple reporting sources to ensure data accuracy and comprehensive insights
- Maintain vessel tracking and visibility tools
- Collaborate directly with Sales, Operations, Agents, Vendors, and Clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics or related field is preferred
- 1 year of relevant/transferable work experience is preferred (i.e., data analytics, sales, marketing, supply chain/logistics, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Macros
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to multitask and work independently
