RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Consultant °, you will execute against our customer‑first plan for our partners by using customer, market, and human insights to make customers’ lives easier. The customer’s voice influences every decision as you identify opportunities, develop solutions, activate insights and evaluate the impact on customers for Kroger and CPGs.

Your primary client is Kroger, one of the world’s largest retailers. You will build trusted relationships with stakeholders and use influence to shape decisions that drive long‑term customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turn insights into customer‑first merchandising recommendations: Synthesize customer, market, and performance inputs into clear guidance across assortment, pricing, promotions, and omnichannel experience.
  • Lead cross‑functional work streams from question to recommendation: Define the business problem and success metrics, shape the analytical and/or research approach, and partner with analytics/research teams to deliver actionable learning and recommendations.
  • Shape digital growth priorities: Build scalable frameworks and decision tools that help teams focus on the highest‑impact categories and initiatives to improve the digital customer experience and business performance.
  • Scale through automation and integration: Automate repeatable work and embed outputs into existing tools and operating rhythms—reducing manual effort while improving consistency, adoption, and speed.
  • Provide strategic client consulting: Be a go‑to customer strategy partner for Kroger—engaging when needed to bring customer and behavioral insights into planning, challenge assumptions, and help leaders set priorities and make decisions.
  • Communicate with clarity and credibility: Create audience‑appropriate deliverables (slides, briefs, and emails) that are ready for executive consumption when needed; clearly articulate the “so what,” recommended actions, and expected impact.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and will possess the following:

  • 2‑4 years of relevant experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Relationship management skills
  • Strong business/commercial acumen
  • Tools and process acumen
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred but not required)

  • The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.
