Risk & Contract Manager

Overview

The Transportation Division is seeking a Risk and Contract Manager for a Cincinnati, OH project. The role involves strategic business development, client relationships, and providing guidance on commercial, financial risks, and opportunities for a large bridge and highway project.

• Provide strategic consultation to avoid claims, protect company exposure, and maximize recovery.
• Underwrite risk during project execution.
• Gain knowledge of project finances and accounting and provide strategic guidance to reduce risks and maximize opportunities.
• Master owner contract and sub/vendor agreements to keep the project in compliance with contractual provisions and industry standards.
• Suggest improvements to commercial and operational procedures.
• Manage project controls to ensure all corporate/project processes and procedures are implemented.
• Support field operations and support the contractual position of the company.
• Challenge the status quo and seek continuous improvement.

• Bachelor or Juris Doctorate degree.
• Minimum 6 years of industry experience for a Bachelor’s degree, 4 years for a Juris Doctorate.
• Leadership skills and ability to be creative in finding solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet all project deadlines.
• Team‑player, flexible, and willing to take on numerous tasks.
• Assignment may require full‑time presence at the project site office; out‑of‑town travel possible.

The actual base pay is dependent upon training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for a bonus and other benefits.
