Tasting Room Manager Position Overview
Become a part of a signature winery in the Grand River Valley. Baci Winery, located in Madison, Ohio, is seeking an energetic and experienced Tasting Room Manager to oversee daily business needs across our winery and restaurant. Reporting to the Director of Winery Operations, you will lead our front‑of‑house team to drive exceptional guest experiences, spearhead our private event program, and build our live music calendar.
The ideal candidate blends their love of wine and food with a passion for building lasting customer relationships.
- Hospitality & Guest
Experience:
Oversee guest relations to ensure top‑tier hospitality. Build long‑lasting customer loyalty, resolve issues, and create a welcoming, signature environment. - Team Leadership & Scheduling: Interview, hire, train, and mentor staff (bartenders, barbacks, food runners, bussers, and hosts). Manage team scheduling using our staffing app to ensure appropriate coverage across all seasons. Ongoing floor presence during business hours to guide our team with priority tasks and to create an exciting, positive atmosphere with the team.
- Private Events & Programming: Coordinate private event inquiries and assist with the planning and execution of private rentals. Schedule and manage live music acts on weekends.
- Administrative: Manage supply inventory within a defined budget. Ensure the team strictly adheres to safety regulations, maintains sanitary spaces, and follows all legal compliance. Maintain excellent written communication and promptly respond to emails and voice mails.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of FOH restaurant, bar, or winery management experience.
- Wine Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of wine is required. (Internal training on our specific portfolio will be provided).
- Skills: Excellent verbal communication, strong written grammar, and exceptional attention to detail. Top‑notch organizational skills and appointment/calendar tracking a must.
Toast POS experience is a plus.
- Schedule: Set schedule with two consecutive days off (Monday and Tuesday). Weekend availability is required, including select holidays. No early mornings and no super late nights.
