Merchandising Solutions, Costing Specialist
As the Merchandising Solutions, Costing Specialist, you will report into our Customization Packing Engineer Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for costing all new displays and revisions within your portfolio. The costing analyst will also be responsible for validating and maintaining the Costing Database and tools.
Costing is a critical component of the Cost Rate Worksheet (CRWS) process which is used for production planning at all 4 Material Supply Optimization sites as well as for accurate payment to our co-packers. This role interfaces with most functions within the Merchandising Solutions Organization including packaging design, operations, capacity planning, and purchasing for each business and the co-packer network.
Job Responsibilities
Operates with Discipline:
This role will require you to meet contractual timelines for all new builds and revisions. Ability to prioritize, work independently with the end result in mind and follow through. You must sort through multiple priorities to ensure the most important work gets completed.
Communication:
Ability to collaborate across functions, levels, and organizations, both oral and written. This role will require communication both internally with various functions and externally with our copackers (Summit, Ryder) and our suppliers (Pratt, Smurfit-West Rock, International Paper).
Analytical and Problem-Solving skills:
Capability to understand, analyze and manage an abundance of data. Experience with loss elimination tools. Must be very comfortable with math, Excel, and production processes.
Digital Tool Skills – Role involves interfacing with multiple data sources (Nulogy, C-tool, Enovia, SAP, etc). Ability to leverage Power BI and Excel to streamline processes, data mine, and execute daily work.

Experience:
Understanding workflows, manufacturing principles, and constraints.
Job Qualifications
Required
- High School or Associates Degree
- Basic to Intermediate Excel Skills
Preferred
- Experience in PowerBI
