Business Administrator, Research Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative and business operations for the Department of Surgery
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation for research programs
• Support faculty in pre- and post-award research administration
• Coordinate compliance with institutional, federal, and sponsor regulations
• Supervise administrative staff and streamline departmental processes
• Develop and track metrics for research productivity and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with university leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives
• Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and support for research personnel
• Liaise with central offices on contracts, grants, and regulatory matters
