Position: Civil Construction Inspector 2

As a Civil Construction Inspector 2 at HDR, you will oversee the quality and safety of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet all design specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
  • Provide guidance to less‑experienced field staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school or Associate degree.
  • Previous ODOT experience.
  • Road and bridge construction experience.
  • Relevant Industry Certifications.
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (or 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute for a high school diploma).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven problem‑solving and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the employee‑owned culture of HDR.
  • Compliance with HDR’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, including a successful drug‑screening test prior to hire and as required by client policies.
  • Non‑availability of sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization.
