HDR Engineering is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Construction Professionals in the Region. The focus is on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction‑related support activities for multi‑discipline power design projects.
Responsibilities- Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients.
- Develop new Construction Services clients and maintain existing ones.
- Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking.
- Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently.
- Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel, making decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources.
- Lead business development in the area related to Construction Services, developing and maintaining annual goals.
- Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project‑specific basis and maintain project document control.
- Assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager.
- Construction or design certifications.
- Experience with estimating software (Timberline), scheduling software (Primavera P6 or Sure Trak), and project management software (Prolog).
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
