Primary Purpose
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. They plan and designate resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project.
Routine Duties
- Predict and manage resources effectively to reach objectives
- Prepare and follow budgets based on scope, estimates, and resource needs
- Track project costs to meet budget constraints
- Manage detailed project schedules and work plans
- Create plans with milestones and deadlines
- Manage relationships with clients, architects, vendors
- Provide weekly project updates to managers
- Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct weekly site visits to analyze labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring scope adherence to standards and drawings
Education and/or Experience
- Degree in construction technology or related field preferred but not required
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction required
- 3-5 years in restoration is desirable but not mandatory
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with project management software and methodologies
- Experience managing projects through full lifecycle
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
