Job Description

The Project Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and delivery of high‑voltage substation construction projects that serve hyperscale and enterprise data center developments. This role works closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, utility companies, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting utility, transmission, substation, or electrical construction projects and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where multiple stakeholders must remain aligned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities for substation construction projects supporting data center developments.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables while identifying potential risks or delays.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, preparing agendas, meeting minutes, and action items.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, field operations, utilities, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation.
  • Track equipment procurement and material deliveries, ensuring critical components arrive on schedule.
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and invoice management.
  • Maintain project documentation using project management platforms.
  • Coordinate outage schedules and utility interfaces when required.
  • Support project reporting by preparing weekly status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Assist with commissioning and project closeout documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, customer requirements, and applicable utility regulations.
Required Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent construction experience will also be considered.
  • 3–7 years of experience supporting electrical, utility, substation, transmission, or EPC construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, schedules, procurement, and project controls.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as project needs require.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting high‑voltage substation construction (69kV–500kV).
  • Experience with utility interconnections for hyperscale data centers.
  • Knowledge of transmission, distribution, or power delivery projects.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes for substations or mission‑critical facilities.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • CAPM or PMP certification.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience will also be considered.
