Construction Project Manager I

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager I to join our CMCI team in our Cincinnati office.
This role is responsible for managing construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and client expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills along with experience leading construction teams, coordinating stakeholders, and successfully delivering projects in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will manage all aspects of construction project execution, including project planning, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, communication, and overall project delivery. You will serve as a primary liaison between clients, contractors, project teams, and stakeholders while ensuring projects maintain quality, safety, and performance standards.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve challenges, maintain project schedules, manage budgets, and support successful project outcomes from preconstruction through completion.
Key responsibilities include managing construction projects through all phases of project delivery, establishing and managing project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and resource allocation, serving as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, design professionals, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams, reviewing project plans and specifications for compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and project requirements, reviewing and managing cost estimates, change orders, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and contract modifications, monitoring project performance and communicating project status regarding budget, schedule, quality, and construction progress to clients and leadership, collaborating and coordinating with internal support teams to ensure successful project delivery, overseeing project contract administration and correspondence activities, identifying and resolving project issues, disputes, and risks while maintaining project objectives and client satisfaction, monitoring and assessing project staffing requirements and coordinating personnel assignments, supervising and mentoring inspectors, materials testers, and other project personnel assigned to projects, supporting proposal preparation, budgeting activities, and project planning efforts as required, and ensuring adherence to company quality standards, safety requirements, and project management procedures.
What you'll bring includes a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; minimum 8 years of experience managing construction projects; professional engineer (PE), project management professional (PMP), certified construction manager (CCM), or related professional certification preferred; strong understanding of project management practices, construction methods, and contract administration principles; working knowledge of CPM scheduling, materials testing, and construction engineering practices;
ability to read, interpret, and apply construction plans, specifications, and contract documents; demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and project teams; strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a deadline-driven environment; and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams,…
