- Supervise underground fiber construction operations, including directional drilling (HDD), cable plowing, trenching, and conduit installation
- Manage field crews and subcontractors on active construction projects
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry standards
- Oversee damage prevention initiatives, quality audits, project documentation, and closeout activities
- Coordinate project schedules and construction activities with the Director of Construction
- Review construction drawings, project specifications, and as-built documentation
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and crew performance
- Travel with the project as construction advances through multiple markets and regions
- Minimum 5 years of Construction Management experience
- Proven experience supervising underground utility or fiber construction projects
- Hands-on knowledge of HDD/Directional Boring
- Hands-on knowledge of cable plowing
- Hands-on knowledge of trenching
- Hands-on knowledge of conduit and duct installation
- Experience managing multiple crews and/or subcontractors
- Experience in fiber telecommunications, OSP, utility construction, backbone, middle-mile, or long-haul network construction
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide
- Comfortable working on a rotation of 4 weeks in-market followed by 1 week remote from home
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project scheduling tools
Demonstrates extensive experience in supervising underground fiber construction operations, including Directional Drilling, Cable Plowing, and Trenching. Proven ability to manage field crews, ensure compliance with safety standards, and coordinate project schedules effectively.
