Target Full-Time Salary Upon Conversion: $68,000-$85,000 Annually

Schedule:
Monday-Friday | First Shift | Approximately 40 Hours/Week
Additional Schedule Details:
Occasional night and weekend work may be required. Position consists of approximately 75% field work and 25% office responsibilities.
Join a growing contractor specializing in plumbing, underground utilities, and site development throughout the Cincinnati and Dayton markets. This opportunity begins as a 1099 contract position with the intent to transition into a long-term full-time employee role for the right candidate.
The Safety Coordinator will work directly with field leadership and project teams supporting major hospitals, research facilities, commercial developments, and educational construction projects while gaining exposure to a wide variety of heavy civil, utility, and site development operations.

Required Qualifications- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- Minimum 3+ years of safety experience OR recent Safety Degree graduate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently throughout multiple project locations
- Willingness to spend the majority of time in the field
- OSHA 510 Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Trenching & Excavation Experience
- Underground Utility Construction Experience
- Heavy Equipment Safety Experience
- Confined Space Experience
- Fall Protection Experience
- Hot Work Permitting Experience
- Experience conducting incident investigations, JHAs, inspections, and audits
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections and safety audits
- Monitor project compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Support implementation of site safety controls and PPE programs
- Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions
- Conduct field observations and safety assessments
- Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Review jobsite safety performance and documentation
- Support toolbox talks and safety communications
- Assist project teams with JHAs and hazard assessments
- Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and project leadership
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout all assigned projects
- Travel between jobsites in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets
