Job Summary

Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) at Planet Fitness will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes closing the day’s shift, preparing accurate bank deposits, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front‑desk related activities, including:
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• Process new member sign‑ups.
• Provide tours to prospective members.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond promptly to member questions and concerns, escalating to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
• Close the shift for the business day.
• Create a bank deposit for the next day.

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Strong punctuality and reliability.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co‑workers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem‑solve.
• Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• CPR/AED certification required.

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Ability to work a 3rd shift (overnight).
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
