Architect / Sr. Architect, Engineering Design & Technologists
A well-established, design-driven architecture firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect to step into a senior, leadership-oriented role within its growing K–12 education practice. This position is well suited for a licensed architect who has successfully led complex projects, managed multiple work streams, and thrives in a collaborative, in-person studio environment.
In this role, you will be trusted to lead projects from early design through construction, serve as a key client partner, and guide teams with confidence and clarity. You’ll work closely with firm leadership, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver thoughtful, technically rigorous solutions that have a meaningful impact on schools and the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities- Lead architectural design and technical execution across all project phases, from concept design through construction administration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal project teams
- Coordinate closely with engineering, interiors, and planning disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
- Oversee quality control, code compliance, and constructability of project documentation
- Support project scheduling, staffing, and delivery in partnership with Project Managers
- Review and guide technical work produced by junior architects and designers
- Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of learning, accountability, and collaboration
- Participate in site visits, respond to RFIs and submittals, and support construction administration efforts
- Contribute to the evolution of firm standards, workflows, and best practices
- Uphold the firm’s commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and community impact
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Licensed Architect required (NCARB certification or eligibility preferred)
- Proven experience leading building projects through all phases of design and construction
- K–12 education project experience is required
- Experience managing multiple projects or complex project phases simultaneously
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes
- Familiarity with sustainable design strategies and best practices
- Experience with visualization tools such as Enscape, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Clear, confident communicator with clients and internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and lead technical teams effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with firm leadership
