Senior Artworker – Trident Division
Responsible for producing digital artworks, reprographics, and colour separations for all print disciplines. This hybrid role is based in the Cincinnati, OH office and requires working with FMCG brands to prepare packaging artworks for mass print production.
Responsibilities- Build artwork files in adherence with business standard practices and client brand rules, ensuring Right First Time quality performance.
- Collaborate with multiple functions to service the client, creating print trial files and carrying out colour retouching/colour correction for all print disciplines.
- Own and maintain brand guidelines, including their creation, amendment, and periodic review, ensuring brand consistency across all projects and production locations.
- Represent the artwork production team in project planning, leading the artist team from receipt of brief to delivery of data within contractual KPIs.
- Seek ways to optimise processes to improve quality and delivery, promoting best practice and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead and support production initiatives, participating in root cause and corrective action investigations, and manage technology change from User Acceptance Testing to deployment.
- Guide and advise less experienced team members, identify and discuss issues, and provide coaching and development.
- Deliver customer demonstrations, participate in client meetings, and support the implementation of new business.
- Experience in packaging artwork production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Detailed understanding of print processes and reprographics application.
- Ability to adapt a design to different components/sizes while maintaining design intent.
- Experience performing colour retouching for multiple print disciplines, including cosmetic retouching, Extended Colour Gamut, and flexographic print processes.
- Ability to visually inspect two samples and determine necessary retouching/corrections.
- Strong interpretation skills for complex guideline documents.
- Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written) and ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong teamwork, planning, prioritising, and organising skills, with effective time management in a dynamic environment.
