This is a part-time, on-site Design Assistant role based in Cincinnati, OH. The Design Assistant will support lead designers in developing custom cabinetry layouts, preparing drawings, and selecting finishes, colors, and hardware that align with client preferences and project requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with measurements, updating design revisions, organizing samples, and maintaining project documentation. The role will involve communicating with customers in the showroom, helping to translate their ideas into practical design solutions, and ensuring a professional, welcoming experience.
Qualifications- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to support client interactions, clarify requirements, and maintain positive relationships.
- Interior Design knowledge to assist with space planning, material selection, and aesthetic coordination for custom cabinetry projects.
- Proficiency with Computer-Kitchen Design software like 20/20 or prokitchen or similar design software would be a desired strength.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Cincinnati, OH, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow safety and quality standards.
- Prior experience in cabinetry, millwork, kitchen/bath design, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
- Relevant education or training in design, architecture, or a related discipline is preferred.
