Overview
The Department of Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking an A or AO certified or eligible radiologist with fellowship-level training in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging to join our faculty. The department performs a full array of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including over 700 PET scans per year. As the only pediatric SNMMI Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence, we perform more therapies than any other pediatric center in the USA.
With a newly opened cyclotron facility adjacent to our campus, one of the top pediatric oncology programs in the country, and a strong clinical research infrastructure we are poised to make further advances in pediatric imaging and theranostics.
- Participate in clinical and research activities of the Division of Nuclear Medicine with five other faculty members.
- Engage in all aspects of nuclear medicine, including a strong interest in therapies and theranostics.
- Common pediatric imaging responsibilities include radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Provide general pediatric imaging coverage and participate in clinical service, teaching, and research as part of the division’s activities.
- Support the department in education and training, with opportunities related to pediatric imaging and theranostics.
- Collaborate in developing programs and maintaining clinical and research standards; participate in program development or division governance as needed.
- MD or DO or equivalent; unrestricted medical licensure.
- A or AO certification or eligibility in radiology; fellowship-level training in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
- Desirable: completion of a pediatric imaging fellowship; department may support two years of experiential training for A subspecialty certification for those without a pediatric fellowship.
- Board certification is preferred.
The department lists: forty-five clinical faculty; twelve research PhDs; one of the largest fellowship programs in the country; approximately 280,000 imaging examinations per year across multiple care sites; a mix of basic and tertiary/qua ternary cases; state-of-the-art imaging equipment; research/administrative time provided to all faculty; and start-up funding within the Department of Radiology and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
