Pediatric Cardiology, Pulmonary Hypertension opportunity

The Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, a worldwide leader in cardiology care and research, has an exceptional opportunity for a BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist to join the pulmonary hypertension subsection at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

The Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children’s is an internationally recognized academic center of excellence for Pediatric (Congenital and Acquired) Cardiac Care including Adult Congenital Cardiac Care, clinical and basic science research. The divisions of Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Molecular Cardiovascular Biology are in the Heart Institute and offer a full range of Pediatric Cardiac services within a free‑standing not‑for‑profit tertiary care medical center.

We train categorical Pediatric Cardiology and sub‑specialty fellows in all areas of congenital heart disease practice (including 1 Pulmonary Hypertension fellow).

The successful candidate will contribute to the clinical mission of the division by providing high‑quality care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include serving as an attending physician in the Inpatient Pulmonary Hypertension Consult Service and delivering outpatient care for children with pulmonary vascular disease. Additional clinical responsibilities—shaped by both the candidate’s interests and the needs of the Heart Institute—may include attending coverage on the Acute Care Cardiac Unit (ACCU), participation in general cardiology outpatient clinics, and involvement in non‑invasive cardiovascular imaging services.

In addition, the applicant will actively participate in the Heart Institute’s clinical and management conferences and engage in teaching and mentorship activities aligned with the educational mission of Cincinnati Children’s and the Heart Institute.
