Job Overview
Assistant Professor of Clinical in the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) providing clinical services at University Health Services and teaching at The Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency program.
Essential FunctionsClinical Care – University Health Services
- Provide primary and urgent care along with women’s health care.
- Participate in on‑call duty prorated based on FTE.
Clinical Care – Family Medicine Center (FMC)
- Provide direct patient care with a focus on osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) in an outpatient setting.
- Re‑establish and maintain an OMT referral clinic within the DFCM, serving patients across the lifespan for musculoskeletal and somatic dysfunction concerns.
- Attend weekly practice meetings for the DFCM.
Teaching
- Contribute to a positive learning environment for learners.
- Provide education and serve as a resource for healthcare workers in the area of clinical expertise.
- Provide hands‑on OMT instruction in didactic and clinical settings.
- Mentor osteopathic and allopathic residents in the principles and techniques of osteopathic medicine.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the residency’s OMT curriculum, including workshops, lectures, patient care teaching, and longitudinal integration of OMT principles.
- Work one‑on‑one with medical students and/or family medicine residents to teach and model ambulatory primary care.
Scholarship, Innovation and Leadership
- All core faculty are expected to contribute to scholarship, including curriculum development; performance improvement; research; presentations; publications; and peer review.

- Medical Degree (MD or DO) in related field.
- Unrestricted Ohio Medical license and DEA license prior to the start date.
- Completion of a 3‑year Family Medicine Residency Program.
