Position SummaryCentral Clinic Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric services up to 40 hours per week. This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization’s commitment to delivering compassionate, accessible, and effective behavioral care. The position will provide medication management services for adults while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.
The ideal candidate is both a skilled clinician and a passionate advocate for behavioral health, committed to reducing stigma, advancing equity, and promoting whole-person care.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for treatment
- Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness and outcomes
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and program staff to ensure integrated, person-centered care delivery
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, state and federal standards
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements
- Support continuity of care through coordination with internal programs and external providers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support implementation of evidence-based practices
- Serve as an advocate and ambassador for behavioral health services, promoting awareness, reducing stigma, and advancing community understanding of mental health
- Support efforts to enhance community engagement and strengthen relationships with healthcare partners and stakeholders
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (preferred)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Ohio
- Valid DEA license
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychiatric practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and cross-functional environment
- Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and equitable care
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including external partnership collaboration
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or integrated care settings preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan is highly desirable
- Experience in academic, training, or collaborative healthcare environments (preferred)
- Primarily clinic-based with potential for hybrid or telehealth services based on program needs
