We are seeking an academic Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist to provide clinical services, teaching, and research opportunities within our highly collegial faculty group.
Job OverviewThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine invites a candidate to participate in hematopathology and surgical pathology subspecialty services, with additional opportunities in autopsy, cytopathology, and molecular pathology. The role includes clinical service, resident/fellow teaching, and collaborative research.
Essential Functions- Participation in hematopathology and surgical pathology case review and interpretation, with preparation of diagnostic pathology reports.
- Provision of consultations to other physicians regarding diagnoses and medical implications.
- Participation in on‑call coverage.
- Participation in multidisciplinary conferences aligned with clinical service responsibilities.
- Teaching pathology residents, medical students, and fellows.
- Attendance at sectional, divisional, and departmental meetings and educational events.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Must have all the following prior to the effective date of appointment:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of a three‑year residency in Anatomic Pathology or a four‑year Anatomic and Clinical Pathology program
- Completion of a one‑year fellowship in Hematopathology (if hired as Hematopathologist)
- Active and unrestricted Ohio State Medical License
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology, Anatomic Pathology, or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Office environment - no specific unusual physical or environmental demands
