The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking an Endovascular fellowship trained neurosurgeon to facilitate subspecialty program growth, increase patient access, and contribute to regional coverage expansion. This faculty member will have a robust clinical practice, teaching opportunities, program building, and aid in clinical research growth.
Essential Functions- Bedside education of medical students and residents in the diagnosis and care of patients with cerebrovascular disease.
- Participate in the education of students in neurosurgery and specialty‑adjacent fields, including head and neck anatomy.
- Provide direct patient care: perform pre‑operative assessments, evaluate patients before surgery, determine treatment plans, perform post‑operative care, and manage emergency situations with life‑saving interventions.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings, contribute to governance, and assist in preparing educational materials.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research, quality improvement, and academic service.
- Provide service to the professional and lay community relevant to neurosurgery and academic medicine.
- Respond to university‑related communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional goals.
- MD or DO
- Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board
- Board certified or board eligible
- Completion of ACGME Neurosurgery residency (7 years)
- Completion of Endovascular Neurosurgery Subspecialty Training or CAST Fellowship (1 year)
- Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
