The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati is searching for a full‑time academic Surgical Pathologist to participate in surgical pathology subspecialty services that align with the candidate’s interests. Experience and/or subspecialty training in cytopathology or molecular pathology is desired, but not required. In addition to clinical service and resident/fellow teaching, the position offers excellent opportunities for participation in collaborative research.
The successful candidate will join a highly collegial faculty group. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
- Participation in surgical pathology case review and interpretation, with preparation of diagnostic pathology reports.
- Provision of consultations to other types of physicians regarding diagnoses and medical implications.
- Participation in on‑call coverage.
- Participation in multidisciplinary conferences aligned with clinical service responsibilities.
- Teaches pathology residents, medical students, and fellows.
- Attends sectional/divisional/departmental meetings and educational events.
- Performs related duties based on departmental need.
Must have all the following prior to effective date of appointment:
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of four‑year residency/training in Pathology.
- Active and unrestricted Ohio State Medical License.
- Board‑certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
- Office environment / no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
