Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Cincinnati, OH. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye exams, evaluate visual function, and diagnose and manage common ocular conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, providing patient education on eye health, and documenting findings accurately in patient records. The Optometrist will collaborate with other clinical staff to coordinate care, ensure appropriate referrals when needed, and maintain adherence to clinical and regulatory standards.

Additional duties may include participating in practice improvement initiatives and supporting a welcoming, professional environment for patients and coworkers.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, unrestricted license to practice optometry in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in comprehensive eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing common ocular conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to patients of varied backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in accurate charting, documentation, and use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Willingness to work part time on-site and maintain flexibility in scheduling based on practice needs.
  • Experience in a private practice or medical office setting is beneficial; residency or additional clinical training is a plus.
